Lack of surgeons is a threat to global health

Most people around the world still do not have access to safe surgery, resulting in millions of deaths and disabilities each year. As a paediatric surgeon, Lars Hagander wanted to find ways to help, and has travelled the world to perform surgery. But, of course, this is not enough. A major change is needed.

Tandem researchers Smith & Meissner
